When you contact Michael Trust Law, APC for a no-charge initial consultation regarding a California employment law matter, here is what to expect.
Who You Will Speak With
Depending on availability, you may speak first with Michael Trust directly, or with our paralegal, Roxanne. If Roxanne takes the call, she will ask some basic questions, then let you know whether Michael will follow up to discuss your situation further. If neither of us is available when you call, one of us will call you back.
What This Call Is
A focused conversation to help assess whether your situation involves a viable legal claim under California employment law, and what your options may be.
What This Call Is Not
It is not a sales pitch, and it is not a generic information session.
What to Have Ready, If You Can
If you are an employee or former employee: a rough timeline of what happened and when, the names and titles of the people involved, any documents you have (emails, offer letters, performance reviews, termination notices), and your date of hire, date of separation (if applicable), title or role, most recent pay, and whether you were paid hourly or on a salary.
If you are an employer: a brief description of the situation, the employee’s title or role and length of employment, any relevant policies or documents, whether you have employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) or other relevant coverage, and what outcome you are trying to achieve.
If you do not have all of this ready, that is fine. Call anyway.
Confidentiality
What you share with us is treated as confidential.
